For me, it's never been just about the science—it's about the heart of what we do as caregivers to animals. Over the years, I've questioned everything, dug deep into the why's, and worked tirelessly to create better, more personalized nutrition solutions for animals. That's how the Clinical Animal Nutrition Survey came to be, and it’s something I’m so proud of. My journey with Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA) has been an adventure—one that I’m excited to share with you.Â
I’ve trained countless vets and animal nutritionists to interpret and apply these powerful tools to support the health of the animals they care for. It’s my mission to help you bring nutrition to life in your practice, creating lasting change for animals while growing your business in a meaningful way. Meet Dr. Matthew Fricke
SHARING DECADES OF EXPERIENCE IN
INTEGRATIVE VETERINARY MEDICINE

For over 3 decades, Dr. Matthew Fricke, who heralds from Springfield, Oregon, has embraced Exotic and Avian Medicine, Acupuncture, Nutrition, and Integrative Companion Animal Medicine. He has devoted himself to helping others succeed in education through serving on the Board of the Wild West Veterinary Conference from 1996 to 2019, establishing the Integrative Medicine track in 2004. Following his presidency, he continues to serve on the board of the American Academy of Veterinary Acupuncture.
Dr. Fricke’s lectures to veterinarians at national conferences, ANT Physical Therapy courses, and the OSU veterinary school are entertaining and insightful. He brings his sense of humor, compassion, and clinical experience into every aspect of his career.
Outside of practice, Dr. Fricke enjoys spending time with his wife Katharine, daughters Lydia and Caroline, and their cats, dogs, and alpacas. He also loves soccer, kickball, snowboarding, wildlife rehabilitation, and home improvement projects.
Dr. Fricke has worked with Dr. Ava Frick for over 20 years using TMA and patient-specific health patterns to provide individually focused nutritional support for his patients. Through this Academy, he will share his many clinical applications combining blood testing, the CAN Survey, and F-TMA to help you master the skillful integration of all aspects of the nutritional world.
